Why do people dislike Polish people?
Hey
I've seen some negative attitude towards Polish people and Poland...where does this racism sprout from? WW2?(Nazi's and all of em?) I know the Polish have been invaded, but that doesn't mean they're inferior. They just didn't have the right cards at the time..and besides, didn't the Polish decode the German enigma and...didn't they do a lot of 'work' in the RAF, Squadron 303? I just don't understand why people think Poland is weak and Polish people are somehow inferior, racism bothers me and if someone can clue me in why people think like this, I'd greatly appreciate. I have some Polish friends, some of the best people I've ever met.
Its a common thing to joke about a certain people. This often stems from essentially poor rural people finding themselves in big modern cities - The Irish in London, Poles in N.Y etc. etc. & taking their presumptions & habits with them. The locals (more often then not 2nd generation immigrants themselves) were very quick to mock their 'simple' ways.
